Tess began her obedience career on her first birthday and completed her United Companion Dog (UCD) title two days later on January 18th, 1999. All three legs were earned at Sonoran Desert Dog Association's trials held outdoors in Tucson, Arizona.

Tess finished her U-CDX title at the age of 15.5 months under Jackie Root at the Whitehorse Woofers' trials in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. She has collected five High In Trials from the Open B class, two High Combineds and numerous placements from the Open B/Utility B classes. Tess finished her AKC CDX title at age 10. We hope to go onto utility in the summer of 2009.

Tess began her Utility career by qualifying the first two times out with two firsts at the age of 1 year 8 months! She completed her United Utility Dog title on Feb 5, 2000 under Enid Grossman at Monroe Valley's UKC Trials in Seattle, WA where she placed 4th out of 16 Utility B entries. Tess finished her obedience career in the summer of 2009 at age 11.5 by completing 3 utility legs outdoors on grass under Ronnie Bizer, Alvin Eng and Earl Vaughn. All earned first place ribbons. Tess is now retired from competition except for local trials and maybe some UKC rally.

Tess is a happy and consistent worker. I am extremely pleased with her ability, attitude and performance. She is a joy to work with and I am proud to have her as my partner and companion but most of all, my best friend. All three UKC titles, from Novice-Utility were completed in 12 trials in a little over one year at the age of 2 years 3 weeks!
Tess completed her UOCH on March 7, 2004 under Lisa Barnard with 8 High In Trials, 5 High Aggregates and 2 High Combineds.
